Two small but helpful changes to WordPress.com
WordPress has just made blogging a little easier, with a recent change to your WordPress.com blog post editor, as well as an update to your media library. While these updates are small, they both will definitely help your efficiency in WordPress.com blogging.
The following updates were added solely to the WordPress.com software, although I expect that the next update for self-hosted WordPress.org blogs will follow suit.
Media Library update
Instead of the old list format for all of your images, the media library is now organized automatically in a block grid, with larger photos and none of the extraneous information upfront.
Post Editor update
Now more efficient, the post editor toolbar is pinned to the top of your post window — regardless of how far down in the post window you are writing. Especially helpful when you’re writing a longform post, now you don’t have to scroll up from where you were writing to access the toolbar again. You can make all your changes (such as heading/paragraph text switches) in an instant.
If you’re blogging with the WordPress.com system, blogging just became a little bit easier — hopefully those of us with the WordPress.org software will be able to utilize these features soon as well.
