Add videos to your blog posts easily
Integrating videos into part of your blogging strategy is a great way to mix up your blog posts if they’ve become too repetitious. There are other ways to change the format of blog posts (stay tuned for that article next week!), but videos are a common way to capture visitors’ attention; especially in this fast-paced culture.
Add videos to your blog posts by embedding them into WordPress.org sites
While you can add videos to a blog post or page by manually uploading them, many bloggers don’t recommend it. It often uses too much space and increases your site’s loading time. If, however, you’d like to add videos to your articles by uploading them directly to your WordPress blog, check out Jetpack’s VideoPress feature.
An easier way (and one that doesn’t take up much space on WordPress) to add videos is to first upload them to a video hosting site (such as YouTube, Vimeo, or Viddler), and then to embed them into a WordPress post. YouTube is a popular search engine; your videos will receive many more views being hosted on YouTube, instead of solely on your one website.

In order to embed your newly created-and-uploaded video into your blog post or page, check out the embedding feature beneath YouTube videos. Click on the Embed link within Share tab. Change the size and other options if desired, and then highlight and copy the code within the box.
Add videos to your WordPress.com blog posts
If you have a WordPress.com blog, you can use either the embed method detailed above, or the quick tool that WordPress has available.
If using the video tool WordPress.com has, click on “New Post” within your Dashboard, and the system will ask you what type of content you’d like to publish. Click on the video option, and the below box will show up. Simply paste the video’s web address, click “fetch video”, and add a title and description for it to create a new post.
Whichever blog type you have, add text reviewing or highlighting your video for more SEO pull — making sure to add those keywords and important points within your video to that blurb.
